When I started this project, I thought there were about 200 Ortho-Blogs. My blogroll recently reached a high point of 2305. So I have decided in the interests of practicality, to start eliminating links. The plan is to wind up with a list of the 1000 best Ortho-Blogs.
The links to be eliminated are as follows: 1. Duplications 2.Blogs with no activity in 2006. 3. Links to sites which are not actually blogs 4. Links to blogs with no content 5. Links to blogs which have virtually no content. and 6. Links to blogs which are not sufficiently relevant to the Orthodox Jewish community.

I started over a year ago, and really thought that a comprehensive list was possible, but now I think the List will forever be a work in progress, because I do "have a life" and can't just blog. Hi, I love your list! By the way, you happened to mix up two blogs. Mine is called The Ignoble Experiment, a.k.a. Live Dangerously! The blog Myrtus is in my blogroll, and its author is... Myrtus. It's a really good blog as well, but when the two are mixed up, people go to our blogs looking for the other one. Thanks!

I'm not orthodox, nor is my blog. I appreciate the link, but it seems like false advertising. I belong on either ALOCB (Awesomely Long List Of Conservative Blogs) or a more-inclusive ALOJB (Awesomely Long List Of Jewish Blogs).

Just noticed this page's existence from a Google search. I appreciate the link, but, I'm not quite Ortho. Occasionally, my content is intersting to Orthos, but, it's primarily from a traditionalist-halachist-egalitarian perspective.

Sholom, thanks for visiting my blog. In answer to your question, which was, is your blog sufficiently interesting to the frum community,I would have to say yes. I favor an inclusive approach for my list, which includes links to the Lives of all of us. That's why you will find here regular frum, ex-frum, BTs, Jews-in-training, closet skeptics, Conservadox, community critics and community defenders alike. Thats because variety is the spice of life. I have hated judgementalism and bigotry since I was a tiny little Space Cadet, and was forced to live with it in the home of the Parental Units.

ALLOOB needs to be winnowed down because a lot of the links are old and no longer valid. Like, you click the link only to get diverted to a marketing site. Or the blog has been deleted by the author. Or they are duplicated on Alloob. Some of the links were really cool sites, but thet weren't blogs, and this is supposed to be a blog list. Some of my links were to blogs which were political or funny, but not frum, per se, so to keep in the spirit of my list, i am trying to eliminate those too, because my readers, all six of them, can find those links elsewhere. Gotta go, Ms SC

How about winnowing out the blogs which have pornographic photos on them? I know many people think porn is orthodox, but we could minimize those "orthodox" discussions to exchange of ideas, not pictures of body parts. Posting photos in the name of freedom, is a lame justification for pornography.
